A note on craft
The art across every Steagus property is made by people.
Every illustration and graphic, that appears in a Steagus game, book, or story I publish, comes from a human artist – someone who brings their own hand, judgment, and years of practice to the page. No AI-generated artwork appears anywhere in what I publish. That standard holds across all of Steagus, no exceptions.
The games themselves are also human-written. Rules, mechanics, and setting are designed and written by me, not generated. Publishing, the imprint under Steagus that carries short stories and novels set in these worlds, works differently: those stories are written by the authors I invite to work in these settings, not by me alone, and most definitely not by AI.
For a small studio, commissioning real artists and authors on a small budget is a real cost – fewer pieces, fewer stories, leaner early editions, later launches. I’ve made peace with that (mostly). Quality over quantity, every time.

About Steagus
Steagus is the work of one independent maker who’d rather do a few things well than many things fast. What started as software built to solve real, specific problems — expense tracking, music libraries, app theming — has grown into a small publishing house and, now, a tabletop RPG in its own right.
Different projects, same standard: built with care, meant to last, and never handed off half-finished.
